I knew I was driving well over the speed limit. I couldn’t help it, though. I needed to get home and empty my full, engorged breasts. I’d just gotten off work and had forgotten to bring my pumps with me.

I guess I could’ve expressed myself in the work restroom, but that’s kinda gross, you know? Besides, I really didn’t want anyone walking in on me. I’d have been mortified.

So, it wasn’t too much of a surprise when I saw the flashing red and blues behind me. I just sighed, found a good place and pulled over. I was going to have to take my medicine like a good girl.

“I’m sorry, officer,” I said as soon as the large cop strode up to the car. “I was just in a hurry and —”

“Ma’am,” he said, cutting me off. Oh God, he was looking at my leaky, see-thru blouse. I just wanted to hide in shame, never to be seen again.

“Yeah?” My heart was hammering in my chest a million beats a minute. I may have been embarrassed, but my womanly instincts kicked into high gear as I got a look at the studly officer. He stood about six-three, had long, sandy blond hair and was sporting a five-o’clock shadow.

“I don’t know what you’re blabbering on about and I really don’t care.”

I looked up him with a stunned expression on my face. “You mean you didn’t pull me over for speeding?”

He shook his gorgeous head and smiled. “See that farm just up the road?” He pointed.

“The McCray Farm?” Everyone knew about them. They were the largest farm in the state. I’d often buy fresh eggs from them. Sometimes, if they weren’t busy, they’d even let me see the hens that laid them.

“Yes, that one.”

God, his blue eyes melted my heart. I forgot all about my overfilled breasts. Suddenly, they weren’t the only things that were leaking.

“They tragically lost their cow today.”

“Oh no!” I said, putting my hand to my mouth. I knew how much they relied on their cow. It was a major source of income for them. “What does this have to do with me?”

He smiled. “They ordered me to track you down and see if you’d be willing to replace their cow for a few days until a new one can be shipped in from Texas.”

My mouth opened and closed several times as I tried to comprehend what the officer was saying. A cow? They wanted me to replace a cow? What in the Sam hell were they thinking? And why me?

He must’ve seen the confusion on my face as he said to follow him and it would all be explained and that I could back out anytime I felt uncomfortable.

He got back into his patrol vehicle and I followed him the mile or so to the farm’s entrance. My mind was whirling so fast with so many questions that I couldn’t think straight. So I just zoned out and followed the officer.

We pulled around back and an older lady of about sixty came running out of one of the barns.

“Thank the heavens you’re here!” She grabbed my hand and practically pulled me into the barn behind her. She was a lot stronger than she looked. I turned to see the officer ducking back into his patrol vehicle. That unnerved me.
