Mandy was concerned for her son. He’d been in an awful accident and was practically helpless. The nurses tended to his every need.

"Bryce, are you okay?" Mandy asked, rushing to her son's bedside.
Bryce looked into his mother's worried eyes and nodded.
"It wasn't bad, mom. It was just a little car accident and the other driver is at fault." Bryce her 18-year-old son explained, attempting to calm down his worried mother.
"Is there anything I can do for you? Do you want me to bring a cake in here? I can call work for you and tell them what happened." She asked, wishing there was more she could do. She was concerned for him.
"Sure, mom. That would be nice." Bryce sighed, looking upward at the ceiling.
"I know that look. Is there anything else I can do for you?" Mandy inquired. As his mother, she knew he was keeping something from her.
"No, there isn't." He flushed, looking away from her. It wasn't something he wanted to talk about to his mother, anyway.
"Bryce, you can tell me anything, you know that."

Mandy wondered what her son was so reluctant to talk about in front of her. There had to be something else she could do for her son. Why wouldn't he tell her?
When she saw the tent in the bedsheets, it suddenly smacked her in the face. Now she understood his embarrassment. She turned around and locked the door, closing out the busy hospital. Now it was just the two of them.
"Mom? What are you doing?" Bryce looked at his mother as confusion filled his eyes.
"You're a young man with needs - needs that you can't take care of." She knew she had hit the problem on the head when his face turned bright red.
"Mom!" He sputtered and looked away.
