“I have a surprise in my attic,” I had causally let slip to one of my party guests.
“Oh yeah?” Exchanging looks with some of the other guests standing near us, his lips cracked into a smile. “Shiny new train set?”

“I’m serious,” I said. “You should come up and check it out.”
“I’m a little old for train sets,” he replied. “But if there’s another drink going then I’m game.”
I took his empty glass from him and smiled. “Your loss, buddy.”
“It’s not a dead body, is it?” one of the other guests joked.
I shook my head with a grin and walked off to the kitchen.

Intrigued by its wild promises, though very skeptical, I bought it; hoping that it would bag me the new hot secretary at work.
